ABOUT US
PAAN CAPITAL is an independent investment fund where we, together with our business partners, selectively invest in business ventures. We combine many years of investment experience, gained in leading international companies, with managerial experience, built through managing branches of international corporations and a capital group listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. We also have extensive transaction (M&A) and investment experience on the side of sector investors and private equity funds, both sell- and buyside, and we are ready to support our partners in M&A transactions and financing arrangement. As managers, we have led various areas of company activities, both at strategic and operational level.
Paan Private Equity Fund
INVESTMENTS
We invest mainly in projects that have already confirmed their business model. We act as a financial investor, although in the case of sectors we are familiar with from the management side, we are also involved in operational management. Preferably, we support investments in which current shareholders/initiators of the venture also plan to commit further capital. We are also familiar with restructuring processes. The expected investment period is 3-5 years. After that period has ended, we exit the project according to the rules set out in investment agreement. The exit route depends on the profile of the project and the market situation.

We support our business partners in strategic activities such as selling or buying a business and arranging of financing. Our offer is distinguished by its practicality, resulting from a combination of transactional and managerial experience.

Mergers & Acquisitions
Thanks to the combination of our expertise in transactions with our managerial experience on the side of sector investors and private equity funds, we take a broader and more pragmatic view of mergers and acquisitions. Skillful planning and handling of a transaction can dramatically increase the scale of an investor’s (buyer’s) operations; for the seller it is often the culmination of a lifetime’s work and an opportunity to pursue other plans. Mergers and acquisitions are extremely complex processes, where alongside purely factual considerations, emotions often play a significant part. We provide comprehensive transactional support: – transactions with private equity funds – transactions with strategic investors – support in buy-side transactions – LBO / MBO
Financing

We are experienced in arranging financing in virtually every form available on the market. We do not try to persuade our clients to raise capital within a narrow area of our competence, but help them select the type of financing which is the most suitable in view of the development prospects for their company and the interests of its owners.

Before establishing PAAN CAPITAL, Paweł managed Gino Rossi Capital Group, holding positions of President of the Management Board in Gino Rossi, Simple Creative Products and Cosimo Martinelli Poland. Before joining Gino Rossi, he worked as a manager in Ernst & Young’s Transaction Advisory Team. He managed IPO of Gino Rossi on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and was originator of a buy-out transaction of Simple Creative Products, after which he took the position of President of the Management Board, and managed its further development in 2006-2009, resulted in doubling its scale of activity. He specialised in financing, mergers and acquisitions and valuations, and has delivered almost 100 projects for leading global corporations and the largest Polish companies.

Before joining PAAN CAPITAL, Marcin was Investment Director in Innova Capital, a private equity fund managing investment portfolio of EUR 800 million. Previously, he was involved in investment banking, working, among others, for ABN Amro Corporate Finance. He also has extensive experience as a consultant, gained while working as a member of the Corporate Finance team at Ernst & Young Management Consulting Services (later Cap Gemini Ernst & Young). His competence extends in particular to managing acquisition processes (on the side of the financial investor, or as advisor in investment bank or M&A boutique) and to actively managing portfolio companies.

Mariusz has over 20 years of management experience in medical business. Within PAAN CAPITAL Mariusz is in particular leading activities within medical sector. Before joining PAAN CAPITAL he worked for 5 years as General Manager in Philips Healthcare. He was in charge for healthcare business in 7 CEE countries together with Finland, Ireland and Cyprus. At the same time, as the Board Member of Philips Poland, he was also liable for the whole organization in the country. He was employed by American pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly for the previous 15 years. He held a number of managerial positions within the strategy, sales and marketing. Among the other functions he was responsible for sales in Poland, marketing and sales in Czech Republic as well the sales force development in 12 CEE countries and Turkey for the latest 2 years.

The first and the largest independent e-grocery store in Poland, providing a full range of grocery products to customers’ homes. FRISCO has built a state-of-the-art fulfilment center. Investment made in 2010 ? exit by selling the stake to EUROCASH SA in 2015.
Tatuum
Polish clothing brand, with nearly 100 stores in 3 countries. PAAN CAPITAL’s investment in 2015 finances the expansion of the company. For 1.5 years, one of the members of PAAN CAPITAL was the President of the Management Board.
Sequoia
Company managing the portfolio of innovative pharmaceutical products in the OTC segment. Dynamic growth was fueled by unique products with efficiency confirmed in clinical trials. Investment in 2012 ? exit by selling to MASPEX Group in 2015.
Poltreg
The company developing the TREG method – a breakthrough, innovative therapy for the treatment of type I diabetes in children using T-regulatory lymphocytes (Treg). PAAN CAPITAL investment carried out in 2017.
